We are seeking a Bench Sander to smooth, shape, and finish parts using stationary sanding equipment. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to consistently produce parts that meet quality standards.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperate bench sanders to smooth surfaces, remove rough edges, and finish parts Prepare materials and work pieces for sanding Adjust sanding belts, discs, and equipment settings based on the material and required finish Inspect parts before, during, and after sanding for quality Replace worn sanding belts or discs as needed Clean and maintain sanding equipment and work areas Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment Document completed work and equipment adjustments as required
Additional QualificationsExperience working with metal, wood, plastic, or other materials using sanding equipment preferred Ability to safely operate hand and stationary tools Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality Dependable and punctual Comfortable working in a production environment
Must-Have RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required Must be able to pass an FAA-regulated drug test and background check Previous sanding, grinding, or similar manufacturing experience preferred Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions
