Job Overview

The Quality Assurance position is responsible for conducting thorough assessments of products, services, and processes within Hubbell to ensure compliance with established quality standards and regulations, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending corrective actions to maintain high quality levels across all operations. The Quality Assurance team member will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement quality enhancement initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Day In The Life
  • Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans based on quality standards, industry regulations, and organizational goals.
  • Conduct audits of manufacturing processes, product quality, service delivery, and documentation to identify deviations and non‑compliance issues.
  • Collect data through inspections, interviews, document reviews, and sampling techniques.
  • Analyze audit findings to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports documenting findings, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Communicate audit results to relevant stakeholders including management, team leaders, and operational teams.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement quality notifications (QN) and corrective action reports (CAR) to address identified quality issues.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure follow‑up to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement strategies, including process optimization and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis and trend identification.
  • Facilitate training sessions for employees on quality standards and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, quality standards, and best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct audits to verify adherence to regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Proactively identify potential compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Perform other departmental duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Manager.

  • Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and relevant industry standards.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Three years related manufacturing‑ and quality‑related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience an asset.
  • Proven experience in quality auditing within a manufacturing or service environment.
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar certification is a plus but not required.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of software, including MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Must wear all PPE required for the specific work area.
  • Work usually takes place in a manufacturing/warehouse environment where conditions can be reflective of the outside elements.
