Maintains stock levels and quality of produce and floral products to comply with BGC standards, working with produce personnel to promote department sales, profits, and customer service.

• Collaborate with upper management to train and develop partners, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work.
• Assist management in reviewing historical sales, ads, and promotions; co‑manage inventory to ensure satisfactory in‑stock levels.
• Support sales performance and financial results, public relations, product quality, and work standards.
• Inspect product for quality control and food safety standards; adhere to all labeling regulations.
• Promote product sales through suggestive selling initiatives and appealing displays.
• Trim and prepare produce using sharp knives; maintain high‑quality presentation and appearance.
• Maintain stock conditions on produce and floral display racks, tables, and shelves.
• Check inventory on trucks, unload products, and ensure accurate ordering and paperwork.
• Provide friendly, customer‑service‑oriented assistance by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to complaints.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work and shopping environment in accordance with BGC safety procedures.

• Intermediate knowledge of produce department operations, in‑store ordering systems, and inventory management processes.
• Intermediate knowledge of scheduling software systems.
• Ability to operate a manual or electric pallet jack.
• Proficiency in operating departmental equipment and using precision hand tools.
• Capability to handle objects gently and avoid damage to items, people, vehicles, and property.
• Keyboard proficiency and multistep task management.
• Effective communication with customers and partners, written and verbal.
• Ability to learn new technology systems and adapt to fast‑paced environments.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Adherence to safety protocols and hazard reporting.

• High school diploma or GED with one or more years of related experience; otherwise an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Minimum age 18; 21 or older required for driving duties.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

• Use of close and distance vision, focus, and depth perception.
• Stand, walk, reach, touch, and handle objects regularly.
• Lift objects up to 40 lbs frequently; up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Bend, kneel, squat, talk, and hear often.
• Occasional exposure to outside temperatures and weather; attend to work is required.

• Retail store setting.
• Exposure to extreme cold, wet, slippery or damp conditions, and cleaning agents.
• Quiet to moderate noise level.
