SLEEP CONSULTANT – Safety Sensitive - Driver (NW ARK-TUL Region)

Job Overview:
Promote and sell mattresses, provide exceptional customer service, and support sales operations under the supervision of the Sales Manager.

Under general supervision of the Sales Manager, the Sleep Consultant is responsible for providing the best service whether or not the customer chooses to make a purchase. Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining a friendly environment, completing sales transactions accurately and efficiently, and communicating service issues to management. The Sleep Consultant must also comply with all safety guidelines and follow through on additional duties assigned by management.

• Promote and sell mattresses displayed on the showroom floor.
• Work directly with customers and colleagues across all departments.
• Follow up on customer orders and inquiries.
• Assist with product issues in conjunction with customer service and warehouse operations.
• Collaborate organizationally with other departments to meet customer needs and answer product questions.
• Emphasize product features based on customer analysis.
• Prepare sales tickets for orders.
• Assist customers in selecting products based on specifications.
• Recommend, select and help locate merchandise; describe product use, operation and care.
• Show, promote and sell products using effective methods.
• Maintain excellent customer relations.
• Operate cashier till, audit safe, make bank deposits, and load/unload transfers and pickups.
• Publish cell phone number in company directories at all times.
• Complete any other duties assigned by management.

• Effective communication with team members and positive attitude with customers.
• Ability to assist in loading mattresses (lift up to 50 lbs.).
• Advanced computer skills and knowledge of employment, safety, and merchandise handling procedures.
• Minimum age 21 with valid driver’s license and ≤2 moving violations, ≤1 chargeable accident within last 3 years.

Must perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening, and repetitive motion. Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
