Job Summary

Responsible for meeting the sales goals for A New Leaf, Inc. Social Enterprise. This person must be friendly, outgoing, helpful and professional when making sales and upselling, while setting a professional example for clients to follow. Possesses strong selling and merchandising skills and pays close attention to detail, catering to customer preferences.

Description

The Sales Supervisor will expand sales to existing customers while creating new business. Duties include but are not limited to meeting monthly sales goals, attracting new business, supervising the Retail Garden Center staff, overseeing special events, creating attractive displays, assisting with tracking and maintaining inventory, and representing the A New Leaf, Inc. brand with honor and integrity. The goal is to provide high‑class customer service and increase company growth and revenue through sales maximization.

The supervisor ensures retail centers are fully stocked with seasonal inventory and ready for special events.

Essential Requirements
  • Have and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license. Have a dependable vehicle at all times and maintain automobile insurance coverage. Maintain eligibility to operate agency vehicles.
  • Physical capacities must include a professional appearance, bending, stooping, and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the clients, including weekends to water and spray plants.
  • Follow policies and procedures of A New Leaf, Inc.
  • Ensure all individuals served are safe in their working environment and program participation at all times.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, completing required documentation and reports.
  • Ability to work as a team and maintain a flexible mindset to achieve a balance between social service and entrepreneurial missions.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Support the retail staff, job coaches and clients appropriately, helping to resolve issues related to sales goals, materials, locations, and quality standards.
  • Create new business through selling seasonal products, Planting Bars, Poinsettias, Blooming Acres Shares, and other revenue streams.
  • Develop a monthly sales plan to meet and exceed goals.
  • Monitor and report customer sales patterns to the Department Director and Horticulture Manager.
  • Identify current and future consumer trends.
  • Maintain weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual sales reports; track best‑sellers and product needs.
  • Keep retail stores aesthetically merchandised, creating an inviting environment for customers and potential donors.
  • Monitor local competitors.
  • Organize product and storage areas for efficient back‑stock and supplies.
  • Execute the visual sign calendar for retail locations.
  • Attend necessary license, certification, in‑service training and conferences to maintain knowledge of policies, procedures and greenhouse regulations.
  • Comply with professional ethical standards and maintain quality services.
  • Supervise all retail locations and ensure proper staffing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Special Requirements
  • Maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Undergo a criminal arrest check through OSBI; felony or misdemeanor convictions, guilty pleas or nolo contend ere may disqualify the applicant unless a waiver is obtained.
  • Community Services Registry checks will be performed; applicants listed on the registry cannot work for A New Leaf.
  • Employment is at‑will.
Qualifications
  • Minimum age – 21 years old.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred; must complete all training requirements.
  • Sales experience required; marketing and merchandising preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Intermediate math skills, including ability to calculate figures, amounts and percentages.
  • Positive attitude and strong customer service skills with a desire to work with persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Preference for individuals with Foundations and ETS training and/or experience working with developmental disabilities.
  • Physical ability to conduct manual‑labor training.
  • Final hiring pending OSBI background check, clean driving record, Community Services Registry check and pre‑employment screening.
