PURPOSEResponsible for driving delivery vehicles and/or operating truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites. Adheres to driver safety/compliance regulations, delivers undamaged goods on schedule, and provides professional service to customers. Drives vehicles weighing greater than 26,000 pounds and may tow vehicles or trailers greater than 10,000 pounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Load or assist with loading and appropriately securing product, materials, or supplies inside delivery vehicle.
- Deliver customer orders to specified delivery site. Maneuver vehicles into loading/unloading positions and ensure proper positioning. Assist customers with unloading materials safely and accurately. Protect the product and customer property.
- Verify order details and maintain logs of delivery duties including amounts/weights, mileage, and delivery locations. Check items against invoice for order accuracy.
- Serve as a customer service liaison between the company and site customer. Handle customer concerns and help resolve issues as they arise.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles; perform routine safety checks to ensure vehicles comply with company guidelines.
- Use hand-held devices (except while driving) to ensure compliance with DVIR and HOS.
- Maintain hours of service logs and pre/post trip inspection procedures.
- May perform credit/product return pickups and related paperwork.
- Operate a forklift or non-motorized material handling equipment to load and unload materials to designated areas.
- Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices; attend periodic safety meetings; may suggest improvements to safety procedures.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid driver s license and a class A CDL license. A minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience. 2 years of CDL driving experience strongly preferred.

- Pass MVR report
- Obtain a DOT medical card within five (5) days of a request
- Have fewer than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to read and speak the English language
