Behaviour Mentor - SEMH Support (Full-Time)

Hours:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday (Term Time)

Tempest Resourcing is working closely with specialist schools and alternative provisions to recruit Behaviour Mentors who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This role is ideal for creative individuals, aspiring teachers, psychology or youth work graduates, or anyone keen to learn on the job while building meaningful experience in education.
The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll work closely with students who need additional emotional and behavioural support, helping them to:
Regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategies
Build confidence, resilience, and self-esteem
Improve communication and social interaction
Re-engage with learning in a safe and supportive environment
You'll be encouraged to use creative approaches such as art, sport, movement, discussion, and mentoring conversations to build strong, trusting relationships.
Who We're Looking For
You don't need prior school experience - attitude and mindset matter most.

Are patient, empathetic, and emotionally resilient
Communicate positively and calmly, even in challenging situations
Enjoy creative problem-solving and thinking outside the box
Are eager to learn and develop your skills on the job
Are seeking full-time, long-term work in education
Experience with SEMH, behaviour support, youth work, mental health, or care settings is a bonus but not essential.
