The Role – Behaviour Mentor

We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join a fast-paced SEMH school on a long-term basis, starting ASAP. A successful Behaviour Mentor will play a key role in supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development, helping them to engage fully with their learning and achieve their full potential. As a Behaviour Mentor you must have excellent behaviour management skills, combined with a calm, empathetic, and patient approach.

Strong relationship-building abilities are essential, enabling the mentor to connect with students, understand their individual needs, and foster a positive, supportive environment. The Behaviour Mentor role focuses on encouraging students to develop independence, resilience, and self-regulation, ensuring they leave school with the skills and confidence to succeed academically and personally.

The School – Behaviour Mentor

This SEMH School, located in Bromley, provides Key Stage 1 to 5 education for young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. It offers both boys and girls the opportunity to specialise in vocational subjects within a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment. The setting prioritises the development of mutual respect, resilience, and positive behaviour, helping students build the skills and confidence needed to become purposeful young adults and active contributors to society.
