Functional Skills Tutor (16-25) - Bromley 1:1 Tuition Outreach & Community-Based PAYE

New Chapter Tuition is recruiting a Functional Skills Tutor to deliver 1:1 English and Maths tuition to learners aged 16-25 across Bromley. This role supports young people working towards Entry Level to Level 2 Functional Skills, helping them develop confidence, independence, and progression pathways into education, employment, or training.

You will work with learners who may have SEN or SEMH needs, anxiety, gaps in learning, or previous disengagement from education. Using a supportive, learner-centred approach, you will deliver personalised Functional Skills tuition in community-based settings.

• Deliver 1:1 Functional Skills English and Maths
• Support learners aged 16-25 at Entry Level-Level 2
• Adapt teaching to individual learning and emotional needs
• Build confidence, motivation, and employability skills
• Monitor progress and contribute to positive outcomes

• Experience delivering Functional Skills English and Maths
• Experience working with young people or young adults (16-25)
• Knowledge of Entry Level-Level 2 Functional Skills standards
• Calm, professional, and supportive approach
• Ability to work independently in outreach settings
