We are looking for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary SEND school in Bromley.

This is an exciting opportunity to support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties, helping them to achieve both academically and personally.

Whether you have experience as a Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, Support Worker or are looking to build a career in SEND education, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role
  • Support students on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Help pupils access learning and engage positively in lessons
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff and families
  • Support students with social, emotional and communication needs
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral teams
  • Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
We're Looking For Someone Who
  • Is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs
  • Has experience working with children or young people (school, youth work, care or mentoring backgrounds welcome)
  • Is patient, positive and resilient
  • Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Can remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • Is committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing
Desirable Experience
  • SEND, SEMH or Autism support
  • Teaching Assistant or Behaviour Mentor experience
  • Youth Work or Support Work background
  • Team Teach, MAPA or de-escalation training
  • Experience with in a school or alternative provision setting
