SEMH Teaching Assistant

- Alternative Provision - 95- 115 a day (depending on experience) - Full Time

    - Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs required

    - Experience working within a specialist setting, PRU or alternative provision desirable
  • SEMH Teaching Assistant
    - Must be confident with behaviour management and emotional regulation support
  • SEMH Teaching Assistant
    - Required full time ASAP

The Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant

Seeking a resilient and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16 within an alternative provision setting. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils regulate emotions, manage behaviour and engage positively with learning. The role involves implementing behaviour support plans, supporting emotional wellbeing, promoting positive behaviour and contributing to a structured and supportive learning environment where pupils can achieve both academically and personally.

This alternative provision is located in the London Borough of Bromley and is within walking distance of a nearby National Rail station. The school supports pupils who have experienced barriers to mainstream education, including SEMH needs and behavioural challenges.
