This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students pursuing vocational qualifications while preparing them for careers in healthcare, childcare, social work, nursing, and the wider care sector.

The RoleAs a Health & Social Care Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Health & Social Care lessons to students across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
- Teach vocational qualifications including BTEC Health & Social Care or equivalent courses.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.
- Support students in developing both theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of the health and social care sector.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing targeted intervention where required.
- Prepare students for coursework, controlled assessments, and examinations.
- Encourage learners to develop employability skills and an understanding of professional practice within the care sector.
- Contribute to enrichment activities, careers events, and curriculum development within the department.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Health & Social Care within a UK secondary school or further education setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with BTEC or vocational Health & Social Care qualifications.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A passion for helping young people develop the skills and knowledge needed for careers in health and social care.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- September 2026 start.
