Engage Education is recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Health & Social Care Teachers to work across a number of supportive and well-established secondary schools in Bromley. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students pursuing vocational qualifications while preparing them for careers in healthcare, childcare, social work, nursing, and the wider care sector.

The Role

As a Health & Social Care Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Health & Social Care lessons to students across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
  • Teach vocational qualifications including BTEC Health & Social Care or equivalent courses.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.
  • Support students in developing both theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of the health and social care sector.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing targeted intervention where required.
  • Prepare students for coursework, controlled assessments, and examinations.
  • Encourage learners to develop employability skills and an understanding of professional practice within the care sector.
  • Contribute to enrichment activities, careers events, and curriculum development within the department.
We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Health & Social Care within a UK secondary school or further education setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with BTEC or vocational Health & Social Care qualifications.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A passion for helping young people develop the skills and knowledge needed for careers in health and social care.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
