About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the BR2 area on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and make a meaningful difference to their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Implement individual learning and behaviour plans.
- Promote a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
- Encourage independence and confidence in pupils.
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school or SEND setting.
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
