Do you have the patience, resilience, and passion to truly change a child's life?

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Support Assistant to join a highly supportive and inclusive SEN school in Bromley. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is genuinely committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with complex needs.

This role is ideal for individuals who are not only caring and empathetic, but also proactive, adaptable, and eager to develop their skills in specialist education settings.

As a Complex Needs Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex learning needs
  • Supporting children with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
  • Assisting with personal care, mobility, and daily routines where required, always ensuring dignity and respect
  • Adapting and delivering learning activities to meet individual needs and abilities
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to support holistic pupil development
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment

We are looking for individuals who bring more than just experience - we want people who genuinely care about making a difference.

  • Experience working with SEN, complex needs, or vulnerable children/adults (desirable, not essential)
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach, even in challenging situations
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to learn, grow, and take initiative
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs to thrive
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
What You'll Receive
  • Full ongoing CPD and specialist SEN training to develop your skills
  • Support from a dedicated and experienced consultant who understands SEN settings
  • The opportunity to work in a highly supportive, inclusive, and rewarding school environment
  • A role where your work has a direct and lasting impact every single day

This is more than just a job - it's an opportunity to be part of a team that transforms lives. Every day will bring challenges, but also genuine moments of progress, connection, and achievement that make the role deeply rewarding.
