SEN Teacher - Bromley

MPS/UPS + SEN allowance | Full-time

We are seeking a dedicated and creative SEN Teacher for a specialist school in Bromley. The school caters for pupils with a range of additional needs, and the successful candidate will need to combine high expectations with a highly personalised approach to learning.

The role

You will be responsible for creating a positive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to learn.

  • Plan highly differentiated lessons.
  • Adapt learning to individual pupil profiles.
  • Teach academic, communication and life skills.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress.
  • Contribute to EHCP outcomes and annual reviews.
  • Work closely with families and multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Lead and support a team of Teaching Assistants.
  • Use positive behaviour-support strategies.
  • Develop pupils' independence and confidence.
Why this role?

Bromley's specialist sector includes provision for autism, severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, profound and multiple learning difficulties and SEMH. That makes this an excellent opportunity for a teacher who wants to broaden their SEN experience and work as part of a genuinely multidisciplinary team. Mainstream teachers with strong SEN experience are encouraged to apply.

Time Plan Education are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and expect all staff to show this commitment.

The successful candidate will be required to complete Disclosure and Barring Service declarations in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997. You will also be required to provide 2 professional references covering at least the last 2 years, and complete our online application followed by a video or face-to-face interview.
