Job overviewCommunity Staff Nurse – Band 5, Bromley area
We are looking for Community Staff Nurses to join our dynamic, friendly team who are patient‑focused and thrive on providing quality care.
Key responsibilities include performing skilled nursing tasks such as PICC lines and IV insertion, contributing to holistic assessment and care planning, and supporting the district nursing service as the team expands.
Main duties of the job- Contribute to the holistic assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care.
- Implement, monitor and maintain high standards of care.
- Re‑assess and re‑evaluate programmes of care when needed.
- Share best practice as an active member of the team.
This role involves working in patients' homes and includes shift work:
8.15am – 4.15pm
10.45am – 6.45pm
1 weekend in 4 and optional additional evening & weekend shifts.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities- Safeguard children, young people and adults at risk.
- Complete holistic patient assessments, design and review care plans, deliver effective clinical care.
- Coordinate daily team activities including handover, work allocation and referral management.
- Develop working relationships with allied health professionals and contribute to policies and procedures.
- RN (Adult Branch)
- Current NMC Registration (or awaiting confirmation of qualification and registration)
- Preparation for mentorship/ENB 998 or willingness to undertake.
- Degree.
- Experience of writing accurate records.
- Evidence of provision of high standards of clinical care.
- Valid driving licence and use of a vehicle for work purposes; ability to use a satnav.
- Teaching and assessing skills.
- Care of older people.
- Experience in administering drugs or willingness to attend study days.
- Knowledge of standard setting/clinical audit.
- Community experience/placement.
