Social Worker - Adults Multi-Disciplinary Team

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Practitioner within the Referral Team in Bromley

What you will do:

  • Take on and oversee complex assessments under the Children Act 1989, including both Section 17 (Child in Need) and Section 47 (Child Protection) enquiries.
  • Make informed professional judgements on safeguarding and risk to ensure children’s safety and wellbeing.
  • Manage a small yet complex caseload while offering guidance and direction to other social workers.
  • Support and mentor less experienced staff, including ASYEs and students, promoting reflective and high-quality practice.
  • Chair and contribute to strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and professionals’ meetings.
  • Ensure timely and effective responses to all new referrals and assessments, in line with statutory timescales.
  • Maintain accurate, analytical, and evidence-based case records and reports suitable for court and multi-agency use.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure coordinated safeguarding responses.
  • Assist the Team Manager in monitoring performance, quality assurance, and service development.
  • Promote adherence to legislation, local procedures, and Social Work England professional standards.
