In this engaging role, you’ll work within the criminal justice system to support young individuals in developing resilience, reducing risks, and making informed choices.

What you will do
  • Deliver one-to-one and group-based interventions to young people, focusing on resilience, risk awareness, and harm reduction.
  • Undertake holistic assessments and develop person-centred support plans in line with identified needs and service pathways.
  • Work in partnership with schools, youth services, social care, and health professionals within a multi-agency framework.
  • Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns in line with the Children Act 1989/2004 and local safeguarding partnership procedures.
  • Maintain accurate case records, risk assessments, and outcome measures in accordance with organisational and GDPR requirements.
Person Specification Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care, Youth Work or related field
  • Relevant safeguarding training (desirable)
Registration & Compliance
  • Knowledge of Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children
  • Understanding of Equality Act 2010 and safeguarding frameworks
  • Enhanced DBS check required
Experience
  • Experience working with vulnerable or at-risk young people, ideally within substance misuse, youth justice, or early help services
  • Experience of delivering group sessions and outreach-based support
  • Demonstrable understanding of issues affecting young people, including mental health, exploitation, and substance use
