Roadside Technician

Overview

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician. As a member of the Bromley cluster you’ll help members return to the road in local areas, delivering mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Provide quick, confident solutions for flat batteries, tyre changes, and complex fault‑finding.
• Work from a local home base, starting and finishing at home, with demand‑led shifts averaging 40 hours per week.
• Maintain a customer‑focused approach, staying calm under pressure and communicating clearly with members.

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Base salary: £41,600 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable).
• Realistic OTE: £66,000, with top‑performers earning significantly more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.
