Aboutthe H. W. Martin Safety Fencing Limited
H W Martin Safety Fencing are a leading supplier of vehicle restraint systems within the UK infrastructure market, and have depots based in Alfreton, Derbyshire and Tormarton, Bristol.
The RoleWe are seeking a Project Manager with a civil engineering or infrastructure background to oversee delivery of VRS works across England. Direct experience of VRS is not essential for this role, the role requires an individual who is experienced in delivering infrastructure works for Tier 1 Contractors and National Clients.
Your Role and Responsibilities- Oversee multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion.
- Manage site teams including operatives, supervisors and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Liaise directly with clients and key stakeholders.
- Produce and review safe systems of work, ITPs and programmes.
- Co‑ordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors effectively.
- Attend client meetings, progress meetings and provide updates at internal meetings.
- Support project delivery teams with technical and operational guidance.
- Strong IT skills and experience of client portals and processes such as CEMAR, Novade, Transportal and the like.
- Effective leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience of working in the civil engineering or highways sector.
- Experience of working in the VRS or Fencing industry preferrable, our wider team will provide support on VRS technical knowledge and prior experience is not essential.
- Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
