Attendance & Reintegration Officer - Pastoral Support

South London

This role focuses on helping pupils re-engage with education. We are recruiting an Attendance & Reintegration Officer to support young people who are at risk of disengagement, working across specialist and alternative education settings.

You’ll play a key role in supporting attendance, wellbeing, and successful reintegration, acting as a consistent link between pupils, families, schools, and external services.

The role

* Support pupils with attendance, engagement, and reintegration plans

* Build strong, trusted relationships with pupils and families

* Work closely with learners with SEN / SEMH or emotional barriers

* Liaise with teaching staff, SEN teams, and external professionals

* Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and follow safeguarding procedures

* Provide consistent pastoral support to help pupils remain engaged in education

The ideal candidate

* Experience in pastoral support, inclusion, attendance, or reintegration roles

* Confident supporting pupils with SEMH or additional needs

* Calm, organised, and relationship-focused approach

* Experience with in schools, PRUs, or alternative provision is highly desirable
