Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates may be available for candidates with significant SEN experience and relevant training. Pay is in line with Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.
Hours of Work: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Teach Now is recruiting an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Croydon from September. This rewarding long-term position involves supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who require additional emotional and behavioural support to thrive in the classroom.
Working closely with experienced teachers and the school's dedicated SEN team, you'll help create a calm, engaging learning environment where pupils can build confidence, develop positive relationships and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.

• Build positive relationships that promote emotional wellbeing and resilience.

• Implement behaviour support strategies consistently.

• Support learning activities across KS1 and KS2.

• Encourage positive social interactions and independence.

• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.

• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to support plans.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

• Experience working with children with SEMH, behavioural needs or additional learning needs.

• A calm, patient and resilient approach.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

• Right to work in the UK.
