Vision for Education is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to work in an SEN School in Bromsgrove on a full-time basis.

About the role
  • As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised assistance to students with special educational needs.
  • Your primary responsibility is to offer tailored support to help students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential within the school environment.
  • Implementing individualised learning plans, promoting student engagement and independence, and maintaining regular communication with parents, careers and outside professionals.
  • The role is on a full-time basis with the possibility to be ongoing for the right candidate.
About the School
  • A Specialist school based in Bromsgrove for children and young people aged from Reception to post 16 with moderate to complex needs with the aim of providing high quality education.
  • Children have a range of diagnoses and special needs, including moderate learning difficulties, and/ or Social Emotional Mental Health issues.
  • Providing a safe, positive, stimulating and challenging learning environment where all pupils' needs are identified.
  • Access a wide range of funded training and qualification opportunities in SEN education whilst gaining a breadth of experience with children of varying ages and abilities.
About you

To be considered for the Behaviour Support Assistant position, you will:

  • Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism, and sensory needs.
  • Have suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools desired but not essential.
  • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
