Robotics, Automation & Mechatronics Engineer
Service Engineers. We know you have probably got a machine waiting for you, so we will keep this brief.
My client is growing, and they need a Service Engineer to join their busy team. You will be installing, commissioning, servicing and repairing PLC and robotic industrial factory automation machinery across UK sites.
What sort of machinery? The sort that keeps factories moving: materials handling, packaging and processing systems. PLCs? Yes. Robotics? Yes. A screwdriver that always disappears just when you need it? Almost certainly.
Where will I work? At pharmaceutical, aerospace, automotive, food, electronics, plastics and fast manufacturing sites across the UK. Where will I live? Ideally in the West Midlands or Worcestershire, so the Midlands will be your base and the road will be your other office.
Do I need to know everything? No. Will I need electrical or mechatronic skills? Yes. Some experience with either PLC systems or robotics? Yes. Both? Lovely, but either gives us something to talk about.
Will I be busy? Oh yes. Will I be alone? No, you will be joining a team of busy Service Engineers. Will there be variety? Unless every factory in Britain suddenly becomes identical, yes.
What is the salary? £45,000 plus bonuses, benefits and a vehicle. Is there career progression? Quite possibly. The company is growing, and growing companies tend to need people who want to grow with them. Is the rest down to me? As ever, yes.
