Healthcare Nursing, Patient Care Technician
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in a general practice setting.
Exciting opportunity to join a friendly, non-hierarchical and supportive team comprising:
- 4 Partners and 6 salaried doctors
- Advanced nurse practitioner and experienced nursing team
Duties
- Phlebotomy, ECG's, Simple dressings/ suture removal, assisting with long term condition reviews, B12 injections, completing NHS Health Checks and Urinanalysis.
- Providing high standards of care to our patient population.
- Assist the practice nurse's with non-clinical tasks such as stock rotation.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
- Visitng our patients in the community.
The practice covers a population of 9,600 patients across 2 sites. We pride ourselves on providing excellent quality of care alongside maintaining a healthy work-life balance with a focus on developing modern, forward-thinking ways of working.

- We operate an established telephone triage system adapted from the Doctor first model which has dramatically improved patient access and satisfaction.
- CQC rated Good across all areas and consistently high QOF achievers.
- Smaller separate dispensing practice covering the charming village of Stoke Prior.
- We are an experienced training practice supporting up to 4 registrars at one time.

- Driving Licence
- Previous experience in a GP practice and using Emis Web is preferred but not essential.
- High level of verbal and written communication is essential for providing high quality care to our patient popuation.
- Strong IT skills are necessary for maintaining records.
- Qualified in Phlebotomy
- GCSE A to C in English and Maths
