We are currently working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Bromsgrove, who are looking to appoint an experienced Residential Conveyancing Secretary / Paralegal to join their busy Property Services team.
This is a full-time, permanent position, and the role is fully office-based. Remote or hybrid working is not available for this post.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Property Services, providing day-to-day support across all stages of the residential conveyancing process. This is a support role, and you will not be required to run your own caseload or work in a fee-earning capacity.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting SDLT forms, Transfer Deeds, and Replies to Requisition s
- Handling basic enquiries and producing case management letters
- Managing AML (Anti-Money Laundering) onboarding procedures
- Opening and closing case files
- Communicating with clients and estate agents to provide regular updates
- Performing general secretarial and administrative duties relating to conveyancing
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 3 to4 years experience in a residential conveyancing support role
- Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and associated documentation
- Excellent telephone manner and client-facing communication skills
- High accuracy and speed in typing and administrative tasks
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload, meeting tight deadlines
- Confident working independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems>
- A professional, proactive, and well-organised approach to work
