Bromsgrove and Redditch Councils, Situated in North Worcestershire, Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council share services. Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate town and centre management initiatives that improve the vitality, viability and economic performance of centres across Bromsgrove and Redditch.
- Develop and deliver strategies, action plans and projects that support regeneration, business growth and investment.
- Build strong relationships with businesses, community groups, investors and public sector partners, acting as a key advocate for local centres and their business communities.
- Manage and promote events, marketing campaigns and centre-based activities that increase footfall, engagement and visitor appeal.
- Oversee the operation, development and promotion of Bromsgrove and Redditch markets, ensuring quality standards and income targets are achieved.
- Degree qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject area.
- Significant experience in a professional and managerial role related to town centre management, business engagement, regeneration, events, marketing or similar disciplines.
- Proven experience of developing and delivering strategies, plans and projects that achieve measurable outcomes.
- Experience of engaging and influencing a wide range of stakeholders, including businesses, community organisations, public sector partners and elected members.
- Strong project management, organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Experience of leading and developing staff or teams.
- Ability to work flexibly, including attending evening and occasional weekend meetings and events.
- Membership of the Association of Town & City Management (ATCM).
- Experience in town centre, shopping centre or retail management.
- Knowledge of markets, urban regeneration, planning or place-making initiatives.
- Experience of securing external funding or preparing grant applications.
- Understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing town and village centres across North Worcestershire.
