Pay Rate: £16.00 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Temporary with potential Temp-to-Perm opportunity
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 3:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am - 1:00pm
- Overtime regularly available
Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Bromsgrove. Due to continued workload and project demand, they are seeking an experienced Contract Panel Wirer / Electro-Mechanical Technician to join their workshop team.
This is a hands‑on role suited to an individual who is both mechanically and electrically minded, capable of working from technical drawings and producing high-quality builds with minimal supervision. There is excellent overtime available and the potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities- Wiring and assembly of electrical control panels from
- Electrical schematics
- Wiring diagrams
- Installation of components including contractors, relays, terminals and control gear
- Point‑to‑point wiring and cable routing to a high standard
- Mechanical assembly and fitting of associated equipment and components
- Building assemblies and panels from start to finish
- Identifying and resolving wiring or assembly issues as they arise
- Supporting workshop output to ensure project deadlines are achieved
- Maintaining quality, safety and housekeeping standards throughout the workshop
- Previous experience as a Panel Wirer, Electrical Assembler, Electro-Mechanical Technician or similar
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics independently
- Strong practical electrical wiring skills
- Mechanically minded with assembly and fitting experience
- Experience with in a manufacturing, engineering or panel build environment
- Able to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of builds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Industrial control panel or automation system experience
- Previous electro‑mechanical assembly experience
- £16.00 - £18.00 per hour, depending on experience
