Development Chemist Pay, Hours and Benefits
* Up to £40,000 salary
* 38 hours per week, 8:30am – 5:00pm, with a 3:00pm finish on Friday’s
* 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
* Healthcare
* Death in Service

Development Chemist Candidate Requirements
The Development Chemist will be responsible for developing high-performance formulations, enhancing existing products, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting manufacturing scale-up, and driving innovation across a diverse FMCG cleaning product portfolio.
* Chemistry degree or similar is essential.
* Previous formulation / product development experience within Cosmetics, Beauty, Chemicals, Household or Laundry is highly relevant.
* Strong practical laboratory experience, including formulation, testing and product development.
* Experience taking formulations from lab trials through to scale-up / production would be advantageous.
* FMCG formulation experience preferred — food industry experience is not considered transferable for this role.
* 100% on-site based role.
What You'll Be Doing
* The Development Chemist will develop & formulate innovative household cleaning, laundry and surface-care products.
* Research & trial new ingredients, sustainable alternatives and improved formulations.
* Take products from concept and laboratory trials through to commercialisation and scale-up.
* Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing challenges.
* Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Production, Procurement and Marketing.
* Provide technical leadership while managing multiple development projects.
