- Policy Development & Care Oversight: Implement protocols for medication management and telepsychiatry, monitor EMR documentation, and ensure high-quality treatment practices.
- Program & Crisis Management: Collaborate with clinic leadership on cross-functional initiatives, high-risk case reviews, and serve as the point of contact for psychiatric emergencies.
- Training & Mentorship: Co-design and lead training programs for psychiatric residents and nurse practitioners in partnership with senior medical leadership.
- Direct Patient Care: Dedicate most work hours to providing psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and recovery-oriented care.
- Education: M.D. or D.O. from an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program.
- Licensure & Certification: Active New York State medical license and board certification in psychiatry (ABPN or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years treating serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use across child, adolescent, and adult populations, with leadership experience in behavioral health settings.
- Technical & Clinical Skills: Proficiency in EMR systems, telepsychiatry platforms, and clinical documentation workflows.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with criminal justice-involved populations and integrated behavioral healthcare models preferred.
- Attributes: Strong diagnostic, communication, and clinical decision-making skills with an adaptable, collaborative leadership style.
