Job Summary:

The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role supports patient safety, procedural efficiency, and coordination of care within the Interventional Radiology setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.

• Perform focused patient assessments and monitor hemodynamic status.

• Assist with procedural workflow, including medication administration and patient preparation.

• Monitor patients receiving conscious sedation and respond to changes in condition.

• Document nursing care accurately in the electronic medical record.

• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe procedural care.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience – Required

• IV insertion and phlebotomy skills – Required

• Conscious sedation experience – Required

Certifications

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required

• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required

License

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required

• Primary Source Verification through NYSED – Required
