What

you’ll do

This position will be responsible for assisting VO Assembly Plants to achieve next level in quality by teaching, coaching and leading the implementation and maintenance of the QOS including procedures, strategies and processes.

  • Interface and make presentations to Senior Management, Plant Management, Quality Departments, Production Management, and supporting organizations (Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Suppliers).
  • Work with a team of Manufacturing Quality SME’s to provide QOS reviews/assessments and assist in issue resolution during current model production.
  • Audit quality disciplines such as DFMEA/PFMEA/SCCAF/DCP/OIS/WES alignment and verification of controls.
  • Identify gaps in BoP (Bill of Process) and ensure items are captured in High Hurts.
  • Assess Process Capability, Error Proofing Validation, Common Reaction Plan, Surveillance audits and CAL line.
  • Evaluate control plans and quality confirmation mapping, assist in identifying and closing gaps.
  • Verify actions that address special and common cause issues.
  • Summarize and follow up assessment findings with plant teams.
  • Demonstrate leadership in coaching and applying quality disciplines.
  • Understand and communicate all quality information and data to plants and the quality office.
  • Support special assignments as required.
  • Support quality processes through UAW partnership.
You’ll have
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of quality processes;
    Quality Operating Systems, Manufacturing High Leverage Opportunities, Advanced Quality Planning, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Control Plans and Quality Confirmation Mapping.
  • Understanding of failure mode avoidance methods including Quality History, FMEAs and DV/PV Plan.
  • Previous manufacturing and quality experience.
  • Self‑motivated, capable of providing a clear vision for success, and motivated to deliver results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to a dynamic cross‑functional working environment and diverse team.
  • Computer competent in various Ford Motor Company systems.
  • Working knowledge of automotive vehicle systems.
  • Working knowledge of quality tools and processes.
  • Consistent overnight travel to assembly plants is required.

This position is a salary grade 7.

This position is a range of salary grades 7 - 8.
