AV Installation Technician

Job Type: AV Integration

The AV Installation Technician is responsible for setting up, installing, operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and video equipment and systems.

• Set up and install equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors,recording equipment, connecting wires and cables for a variety of corporate and residential markets.
• Install infrastructure cabling for data, phone and AV according to designated layout
• Identifying, documenting, and correcting scope and drawing errors
• Test audio video and sound systems according to designated layout
• Program control systems or provide assistance to programmer
• Coordinate audio feeds with television images
• Identify equipment requiring repairs as needed
• Identify alternative solutions to onsite installation issues.
• Compile technical documents such as Serial Numbers and Warranties
• Train End Users on AV equipment
• Review Punch Lists with Project Manager prior to departure to Job site and again before leaving Job site.
• Provide Job specific feedback to Project Manager
• Complete Project Documentation as provided by Project Manager
• Pick up shipments of product/equipment as needed per Job
• Ability to be the point person on a Job Site and assign duties to other Technicians as needed
• Load and unload work vehicles with product for the project
• Perform duties on location as assigned
• Company paid travel required (including weekends)

• Proficiency with AV systems and software (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Zoom, Teams)
• Strong understanding of signal flow, audio mixing, and video switching
• Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Physical ability to lift and move equipment.
