Structural Steel Shop Foreman

Marcelli Steel | Brookfield, CT | Full-Time, Year-Round

Pay: $25-$38 + / hour, based on experience

Marcelli Steel is an AISC-certified structural steel fabricator building structural steel and miscellaneous metals for commercial, industrial, and public projects. We’re looking for a hands-on Shop Foreman to run the floor, lead the crew, and keep work moving.

• Run daily shop operations and production schedules
• Assign work and lead a crew of [#] fabricators and welders
• Read shop drawings and guide fabrication on the floor
• Coordinate material, equipment, and job priorities
• Make sure work meets project specs, AISC requirements, and welding standards
• Keep the shop safe, organized, and efficient
• Update management on progress and scheduling

• Experience in structural steel fabrication and welding
• Foreman, supervisor, or lead fabricator background
• Ability to read structural shop drawings independently
• Strong leadership and a habit of taking ownership
• AWS D1.1 and AISC familiarity is a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
