Teller​/Customer Service Representative

If you consider yourself to be a flexible individual, enjoy working with people, and are interested in a frontline position in banking, Great Midwest Bank may have a position for you as a Bank Teller/Customer Service Representative. We are currently looking for a customer-service orientated individual to work approximately 38-40 hours a week in our Brookfield, WI Branch location. Primary schedule: 8:30-5pm weekdays and rotating Saturdays 9am-Noon .

To qualify for this position, you must have:

Prior banking experience is preferred. 2-3 years of previous customer service and/or cash handling is required. Qualified candidates would:

• Possess good computer skills and knowledge of basic Windows, Word and Excel.
• Have a strong ability to multi-task, be very detail oriented, and be a strong team player.
• Excellent internal and external customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to identify and meet our customer service needs
• Proven abilities of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Exhibits an understanding of and compliance with applicable federal and state banking laws and regulations or obtain the ability to acquire.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements.

2. Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances. Ability to accurately and efficiently count cash and coin taken in and counted out to customers.

3. Enters customers' transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts.

4. Orders daily supply of cash, and counts incoming cash.

5. Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.

6. Explains, promotes, or sells products or services such as money orders and cashier's checks.

7. Removes deposits from, and counts and balances cash in, automated teller machines and night depository.
