Join Wolter, the authorized Generac dealer for Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, and be part of a company that sells and services generators up to 3.25 MW and works with industry leaders like Kohler, Cummins, and Yanmar.
We are hiring a Field Technician with a strong mechanical background and at least 2 years of experience working with diesel, natural gas, LPG, or gasoline-powered generators or industrial engines. This position is located near the Brookfield or Milwaukee area and will involve travel to customer sites throughout the region.
What You Will Do:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain generator and industrial engine systems on-site for customers
- Complete both scheduled maintenance and emergency service calls
- Collaborate with our Lead Engine Technician when additional support is needed
- Document service visits and submit reports daily using your company-issued phone, tablet, and laptop
- Provide a great customer experience while identifying potential future service needs
- Follow all safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- At least 2 years of experience working with generators or industrial engines
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills for diagnostics and service documentation
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Must live within a commutable distance of Brookfield or Milwaukee
- Your own basic tools (we will provide a recommended tool list)
