Location: Brookhaven, GA
Lowe Engineers is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Inspector to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in municipal infrastructure inspection who thrives in the field and enjoys working collaboratively with project teams. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery of public works and civil infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities- Perform daily site visits to monitor jobsite conditions and verify contractor work.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports with supporting photos using RAKEN and other documentation tools.
- Conduct periodic quality control inspections to ensure construction activities comply with contract documents.
- Coordinate with the design team and materials testing engineers to ensure proper documentation of inspections and test results.
- Facilitate bi-weekly Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings and distribute meeting minutes.
- Track submittals, RFIs, and contractor schedules to ensure timely resolution and adherence to timelines.
- Review contractor payment applications and change order requests, and document recommendations based on schedule and scope.
- Perform operator level maintenance on assigned company tools and equipment as required.
- Attend milestone inspections and assist in managing punch lists, substantial completion, and project closeout documentation.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing or inspecting infrastructure construction projects.
- Professional certification or registration preferred (PE, EIT, or PPM).
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in construction documentation and scheduling tools.
- Must submit a project list with brief summaries for at least five recent projects (include Owner, Project Name, Project Type, Role, and Duration).
- Strong initiative and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
