Directs the day-to-day financial functions in accordance with Children’s policies and oversees the campus’s financial performance and reporting accuracy. Works closely with Corporate Finance and campus leadership in developing, implementing and monitoring annual operating and capital budgets and business plans. Identifies and implements opportunities to improve financial operations and performance. Oversees compliance with federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the healthcare system.
Experience- Minimum 7 years of experience managing overall financial systems in a progressive healthcare system.
- Technical competence in healthcare financial management, revenue cycle, regulatory compliance, budgeting, reimbursement, patient accounts and managed care.
- Master’s degree and/or CPA, CPAM or FHFMA certifications.
- Technical knowledge on reimbursement issues, especially Medicaid and managed care.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance.

- Financial Operations Management – serves as the senior financial professional on campus, reviewing, analyzing and interpreting operational results.
- Operational Budgeting – coordinates the campus annual budget process, provides direction on tools and sets budgets, and acts as the advocate for the budget.
- Capital Budgeting – reviews non-threshold requests, conducts meetings to identify budget items, coordinates financial pro forma, feasibility studies and business plans.
- Operations – communicates status of current operations, determines financial impacts of changes, monitors compliance with managed care agreements, and supports daily operational decision making.
- Medical Staff Engagement – attends selected medical staff meetings, develops relationships, works with staff on utilization review issues.
- Revenue Cycle – provides oversight of revenue reconciliation and CDM changes, works with Corporate Finance on strategies to protect the bottom line.
- Financial Analysis – performs forecasting with clinical leaders, prioritizes requests for analysis or reports, initiates data requests as needed.
- Financial Education – provides financial education at facility level meetings (e.g., CAL).
