Serves as subject matter expert on matters related to day-to-day cloud operations and implementation within Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta system. Assists in deploying, implementing and testing systems. Assists in problem resolution for cloud deployments and is responsible for responding to tickets and systems alerts.

• 5 years of experience in a technical support position
• 1 year of experience managing cloud infrastructure in an enterprise environment
• 1 year of cloud experience in Azure (preferred), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other comparable cloud platform
• 1 year of experience with scripting technologies such as Bash, Terraform, Power Shell, Ansible, Bicep or Azure Command Line Interface
• 1 year of experience with server virtualization technologies and their support technologies (e.g., Azure Stack HCI, VMware, Hyper‑V, VRealize, SRM)
• 1 year of experience in an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) services framework

• Associate’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent technical training and work experience

• Experience in other cloud environments a plus
• Experience with Service
  
  NOW and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) is preferred
• Experience with Splunk and Azure Log analytics work spaces preferred
• Experience leading lunch and learns, workshops or other educational initiatives to spread knowledge and best practices related to cloud technologies
• Microsoft AZ‑900 certification

• No professional certifications required

• Demonstrated ability to write, debug, and maintain Infrastructure as code (IaC), Power Shell and Azure CLI scripts
• Understanding of Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks, Azure Gateways, Azure vWan, S2S VPN and Azure Express Route
• Knowledge of source control management, preferably with Git, and familiarity with branching strategies
• Understanding of cloud security principles and hands‑on experience with Azure security tools like Azure Security Center, Azure Key Vault, Purview and Azure Firewall
• Ability to analyze and optimize cloud costs, using Azure Cost Management, billing or third‑party tools
• Knowledge of cost‑effective designing solutions without compromising on performance and reliability
• Ability to set up alerts and automate responses to support operational events
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Entra
  
  ID, and other Windows server services
• Strong knowledge of Linux and AIX distributions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Strong documentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Designs and administers cloud deployments, including configuration of servers, workstations, virtual hosts, terminal servers, access servers, and third‑party applications.
• Researches and makes recommendations for new products based on current and projected goals.
• Verifies cloud deployments and datacenters are run in accordance with guidelines set by upper management.
• Develops standards and documentation of cloud deployments and configurations.
• Responds to trouble tickets and systems alerts based on defined service level agreements.
• Acts as subject matter expert for cloud operations and cloud planning.
