About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Hospice Clinical Nursing Director to lead our hospice care team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high‑quality patient care. The ideal candidate is a skilled nurse leader with a deep understanding of hospice care and a passion for providing comfort and support to patients and their families.

Must be familiar with Homecare Homebase.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical oversight and leadership to the hospice nursing team
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local hospice regulations and standards
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance patient care
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment
  • Monitor patient care plans to ensure they align with hospice philosophy and patient needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, and therapists
  • Oversee quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and training programs for clinical personnel
  • Serve as a liaison between leadership, staff, patients, and families
  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to EMR guidelines
Qualifications
  • Education: Registered Nurse (RN) with an active state license; BSN preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 3‑5 years of hospice or palliative care nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented office environment
