The BSM Divisional Coach role combines the responsibilities of a Branch Sales Manager (BSM) with the additional focus of a Divisional Coach, responsible for coaching, training, and leading team members to drive both individual and branch-level success. This role requires expertise in operational leadership, onboarding, coaching, and team development. You will support the growth of new hires, existing team members, and branch leadership while fostering emotional intelligence, delivering targeted training, and ensuring performance excellence.
Job ResponsibilitiesOperational Responsibilities:
- Branch Operations & Financial Management:
Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and alignment with company policies. Manage financial goals, including profitability, expense control, and loan portfolio growth. Use performance data to drive improvement strategies. - Sales & Business Development:
Lead initiatives to grow the consumer loan portfolio through relationship-building, strategic marketing, and community engagement. Implement sales strategies to enhance branch profitability. - Customer Experience & Compliance:
Ensure exceptional customer service and foster loyalty, while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. - Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and mentor Customer Lending Sales Specialists (CLSS), conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and hold team members accountable for meeting sales and performance objectives.
Coaching & Training Responsibilities:
- Training & Facilitation:
Lead training sessions for new hires, existing team members, and leadership. This includes onboarding, product knowledge, performance standards, and ongoing training for new initiatives (new products, procedures, etc.). Tailor training to different learning styles to ensure accessibility and effectiveness. - Coaching:
Provide ongoing coaching for individual and team development. Use emotional intelligence to build stronger relationships, resolve challenges, and drive performance improvements. Conduct role plays, provide constructive feedback, and help team members refine their skills. - Knowledge Check Touchpoints:
Implement regular knowledge checks to assess understanding, retention, and application of training materials. Reinforce key learnings to ensure team members meet performance expectations. - Collaborative Partnerships:
Work closely with Sr. Divisional Coaches, DDO/BDM, and BSM/ARM to identify team members’ development needs, ensure alignment with branch goals, and create development opportunities for talent growth. - Feedback & Reporting:
Provide regular feedback to branch and divisional leadership on new hire and team member progress, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred. Coaching Certification Program completed.
Experience RequiredPrior management experience required. Internal applicants must currently be a Branch Sales Manager for at least 6 months. Applicants must have completed Divisional Coaching Certification program. Have a working knowledge of P&L, sales, collections, and cost controlling measures. Equivalent operational and/or leadership experience may be considered in lieu of requirements.
