The Manager-in-Training (MIT) program provides an opportunity to learn and grow at an established company with over 45 years of experience. As a newest associate, you’ll experience a custom interactive program lasting approximately twelve (12) weeks. The program focuses on managing your own account, including:
- General Training & Comprehension – Learn and perform job assignments of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker positions and operate cleaning equipment.
- Leadership Development – Assist in training, quality control, and in-servicing staff according to policies and procedures and federal/state requirements.
- Policies & Procedures – Ensure quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met.
- Reporting – Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
- Training – Execute responsibility for training, quality control, and in-servicing staff and conduct QC inspections.
- Leadership – Handle managerial responsibilities such as payroll, staffing patterns, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory maintenance, and budgeting.
- Communication – Effectively communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
- Safety – Use protective gear, mix and use cleaning solutions safely, and report equipment/cleaning product needs in a timely fashion.
- Punctuality – Consistent attendance and punctual arrival.
- Customer Experience – Positively represent HCSG by following instructions and being courteous to supervisor, co-workers, and client staff.
- Resident Experience – Positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
- After completing all appropriate training, utilize leadership skills to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision.
- Maintain records and complete reports as required, including web-based reporting.
- Perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and work around food and cleaning products.
- Lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies as required by State, Local, and/or Customers.
