Bus Driver

The Bus Driver is responsible to the Director of the Physical Plant and shall possess evidence of skill proficiency required in the performance of the duties and responsibilities listed below.

• Safely transport passengers to and from scheduled locations
• Obey all traffic laws and safety regulations for passenger buses
• Communicate effectively with the maintenance department
• Perform pre-trip inspections on the bus before each route or trip as required
• Complete forms, records, and reports as required
• Clean and service the school bus to include interior sweeping
• Report necessary bus repairs or damage to the maintenance department
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Have a high school diploma or GED/HSE
• Must be a minimum of 25 years of age
• Hold a valid Class A or B, Commercial Driver's License and meet all Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). a satisfactory driving record that demonstrates a commitment to safety
• At least three (3) years' experience driving large vehicles (26,001 lbs. or more)
