Adapt Integrated Health Care is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their Behavioral Health team! The Behavioral Health Medical Assistant promotes a strong belief in Adapt Integrated Health Care's philosophy, purpose, and ideals. Medical Assistants perform delegated routine clinical duties within the supervising practitioner's scope of practice; assist healthcare provider in the delivery of patient care in the clinic setting;
to interact with patients, both in person and by phone; to provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and co-workers; and to perform related duties as assigned.
- Experience working as a Medical Assistant in Behavioral Health setting, CCMA preferred.
- Experience working in EPIC medical record preferred.
- Scheduling and receiving patients.
- Preparing and maintaining medical records.
- Handling telephone calls and writing correspondence.
- Serving as a liaison between the Provider and patients.
- Asepsis and infection control.
- Taking patient histories and vital signs.
- Performing first aid and CPR.
- Preparing patients for procedures.
- Assisting the provider with examinations and treatments.
- Collecting and processing specimens.
- Performing selected diagnostic tests.
- Preparing and administering medications as directed by the provider.
- Maintenance of equipment and supplies for the clinic.
- Promote a Culture of Safety, reporting hazards, errors and potential patient safety issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
