The Budget Department provides university-wide budget planning, analysis, and financial support to promote informed decision-making and effective stewardship of university resources.

Job Responsibilities:The Budget Analyst supports the management of the University operating budget through the analysis and administration of personnel actions, financial data, and budget activity. The position applies knowledge of Banner finance, human resources/payroll processes, fund accounting, and University processes to evaluate complex transactions, maintain accurate financial information, develop decision-support reporting, and assist campus departments. The work requires substantial analysis, independent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve financial and system‑related issues.

Knowledge of:
- Budgeting, finance, accounting and/or business functions
- Demonstrate advanced computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products or other related software
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication and the ability to work with others
- Deliver high-quality customer service while maintaining professionalism and responsiveness
- Interpret and apply policies, procedures, and university practices to complex situations
- BS/BA degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics or related degree
