Inventory/Receiving Clerk – Full Time

- Primary hours: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Potential overtime on Fridays.
Brookings, South Dakota – Live Events Factory.
Job Responsibilities- Learn Daktronics products, systems, processes, and flow.
- Pull parts to fill work orders. Handle inventory count discrepancies. Flexibility to work in all manufacturing departments.
- Train employees in inventory tasks: work order pulling, data entry, bulk staging, and other procedures.
- Use tools safely and practice safe lifting.
- Follow written instructions, record work accurately.
- Consistently complete quality work in a timely manner, including repetitive tasks.
- Learn new tasks quickly and perform them accurately.
- Work effectively as a team member with little supervision. Make suggestions for process improvements and communicate effectively.
- Receive and verify incoming material.
- Kit materials and gather documentation needed for production.
- Perform physical cycle counts and material audits as assigned.
- Perform other duties as needed to meet customer expectations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, inventory, or materials management preferred. Understanding of material flow in a manufacturing environment also preferred.
- Team‑player; ability to learn quickly.
- Minimal supervision required.
- Keyboard skills required; experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, and/or Glovia ERP system preferred.
- Accuracy with numbers.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic and flexible work environment.
- Operate mobile equipment (tugger, forklift, automated pallet jack).
- Physical requirements:
lift up to 35 lbs frequently; occasionally up to 45 lbs. - Stand for full 10‑hour shift with planned breaks.
- Move items to various manufacturing departments; push/pull carts.
- Work around odors (solder/paint).
- Work overtime.
- Travel by air and ground; valid driver’s license. Must meet Daktronics Driving Eligibility requirements. Motor vehicle records will be checked.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal.
- Applicants 18 years or older.
