Teacher Assistant - Brookline

Position/

Department Summary:

Clean/disinfect toys per DEEC regulations. Set up afternoon activities/learning centers and engage in play. Prepare/serve snack. Restock classroom areas as requested. Participate in group/story/circle time. Assist classroom teacher with closing of the classroom each day.

• Assisting classroom teachers in the care, health, welfare and safety of children 12 weeks - 5 years of age in a group setting.
• Working with a team of teachers, to provide a caring environment where children are safe and secure.
• Cleaning/disinfecting toys per DEEC regulations.
• Setting up afternoon activities/learning centers and engage in play.
• Preparing/serving snack.
• Restocking classroom areas as requested.
• Participating in group/story/circle time.
• Assisting classroom teacher with closing of the classroom each day.

• At least 18 years of age.
• The ability to exchange information on factual matters, greet visitors, explain hospital policies, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel.
• Courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or hospital employees. More sensitive situations may be referred to others as appropriate.

• Part time
  -15/hours per week.
• Shift/hours: 2:30pm - 6:00pm.

• Employee Referral Bonus of $2,000.00

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
