Far Out is a New Zealand Style ice cream shop based in Boston, MA. Founded in 2019, Far Out aims to bring New Zealand’s signature Real Fruit Ice Cream to the rest of the world, one cone at a time. Guests choose a fruit from a wide variety of options to be mixed with a hard scooped ice cream base, creating a made‑to‑order finished product which stands apart from both traditional hard scooped and soft serve ice creams.
Our core focus is on enlightened hospitality and delivering the highest quality product and experience for both our customers and our teammates. Far Out is continuing to expand rapidly, and as a result we are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to be a part of a growing small business and super fun team!
Far Out Ice Cream is hiring for the Supervisor position. This is a customer facing role in which you prepare ice cream and beverages, help customers with ordering, and maintain cleanliness of the store.
Supervisor Responsibilities- Prepare ice cream and beverages according to Far Out standards and customer requests
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers and answering questions about our menu and offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including dipping cabinets, toppings bar, and serving area
- Restock supplies and prepare ingredients as needed
- Operate point-of-sale system and handle cash/card transactions
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure food safety and cleanliness
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Other duties as assigned

Collaboration:
Work seamlessly with your fellow teammates to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow, contributing to a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for both customers and staff.
- One year of fast-paced food service experience (preferred)
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices
- Reliable transportation to our Brookline location
- 3 month minimum commitment
Pay: $18 - $25 per hour ($16/hr + tips)
