Job Summary
This position is the Khan Evening Charge Registered Nurse responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care, providing formal supervision to assigned staff, participating in performance improvement activities, and offering educational sessions during shifts to enhance other staff's performance. The Evening Charge nurse will provide feedback to the Nurse Manager for performance evaluations and fulfill all other roles of the Staff Nurse job description.
EssentialAdditional Functions
- Plans and provides supervision to assigned staff to enhance skill level as assigned by the Nurse Manager
- Participates in performance improvement projects such as unit based process improvement initiatives.
- Advocates changes to improve the delivery of patient care on the shift to the Nurse Manager for consideration
- Provides feedback to the Nurse Manager regarding staff job performance as requested by the Nurse Manager
- Ensures documentation meets required standards on shifts assigned.
- Must have strong EHR skills and ability to provide safe, effective care to patients.
- Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Must have active RN license. At least 1 year experience in inpatient psychiatry nursing experience required for the permanent charge nurse position. Excellent interpersonal skills mandatory. All other qualifications stated in the Staff RN job description.
